Invocation
Beloved God,
We thank you for this day
We thank you for its joys,
We thank you for its rewards
But most of all
We thank you for its challenges,
For we know that without the challenges
There is no growth
And without growth,
There is no life
Here or hereafter.
We do not pray for health, wealth, joy, happiness, and
abundance.
Instead we pray
To be grateful for the health we have,
To recognize the abundance that surrounds us
And to be open to joy and happiness
For they are a choice, not a gift.
Help us to make that choice.
We know that you are with us at all times
And that if we exist, you are with us
For it can be no other way.
We ask that you help us to become aware
of your presence with us at all times in our life.
This we pray,
